Is your pottery made in Spain?

1

Yes. With the exception of ‘guest lines’ where we occasionally list products from other countries, all of our ceramics are made in Spain by skilled artisans using traditional methods such as hand-throwing, hand-painting and kiln firing. Nearly all of our pieces come from historic pottery regions in Andalusia, a short drive from Cordoba.

Because everything is handmade, small variations in colour, glaze and shape are normal — and part of what makes each piece unique.

Do you ship from the UK or Spain?

2

We ship from the UK.

Your order is dispatched from our UK fulfilment location, which means:

  • Faster delivery (orders received on weekdays before 2pm often arrive next day; otherwise products typically arrive within 1-2 working days)

  • No customs paperwork for customers

  • No surprise import fees

Do I have to pay customs charges or import duty?

Can I return an item?

6

No. All products are already imported into the UK before sale, so there are no additional customs fees or import charges for UK customers. The price you see at checkout is the final price, inclusive of VAT.

What happens if my order arrives damaged?

Are your products dishwasher or microwave safe?

Is VAT included in your prices?

How is fragile pottery packaged?

Yes, all of our prices are VAT-inclusive.

Very carefully.

All items are professionally packed using protective materials designed specifically for ceramics, including bubble wrap, newspaper and additional cardboard framing. This significantly reduces the risk of damage in transit.

As an environmentally conscious company we try to reduce waste so at times we will use second-hand boxes to ship your products.

If anything does arrive broken, we’ll make it right.

If your pottery arrives damaged, simply contact us by email (spanishpotteryltd@gmail.com) with photos of:

We’ll arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as possible.

Yes, within 14 days of purchase. You as the buyer are responsible for return postage costs and any loss in value if an item isn’t returned in original condition.

This varies by item.

Many of our pieces are food-safe and suitable for everyday use, but because they are handmade, we generally recommend:

  • Hand washing where possible

  • Avoiding microwaves for decorated items

If you’re unsure about a particular piece, just ask.
